Welcome to Gauteng College of Nursing (GCON)
The Gauteng College of Nursing (GCON) is a newly established institution following the merger of all nursing colleges in the province. Subsequent to the nursing reforms in South Africa, a single college was established with six nursing campuses, namely:
- Ann Latsky
- Bonalesedi
- Chris Hani Baragwanath
- Ga-Rankuwa
- Rahima Moosa
- SG Lourens
GCON obtained full accreditation for the Diploma in Nursing (R.171) programme from the Council on Higher Education (CHE) and the South African Nursing Council (SANC) in November 2019. The programme was registered by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) on 14 December 2019, granting the college legitimacy to implement the programme.
