The Gauteng Department of Health is the administrative authority of the nursing college and its mission is to provide excellent and integrated health services for the Gauteng residents.
Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET): is government department that oversees universities and all other post-secondary education. Its aim is to ensure improved quality provisioning of education while also improving access and efficiency of the Post School Education and Training.
South African Qualification Authority (SAQA): is tasked with overseeing the development and implementation of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF).
South African Nursing Council (SANC): is a statutory body responsible for the registration of the nursing college,
its clinical facilities as well as the approval of programmes offered by the nursing college in accordance with
the Nursing Act 33 0f 2005. Councel on Higher Education (CHE): A statutory body established in accordance with the Higher Education Act 101 of 1997 that functions as the Quality Council for higher education qualifications. It is responsible for higher education programmes accreditation. |
